Tucked away on a quiet street near the village, Karen’s Cabin will sleep up to 6 folks in 2 bedrooms and on a sleeper sofa. This cabin has a rustic interior for that mountain feeling. There is a very nice natural rock fireplace you can enjoy in the winter. This cabin is within walking distance of the village where you can shop. You’ll also find very good restaurants for your pleasure in the Village.

Bring a couple of folding chairs and you can sit on the front porch and watch the birds and squirrels that are part of the natural beauty of Big Bear Lake.

You’ll be able to watch the TV while you are enjoying the warmth of the fireplace in the living room. The kitchen is fully stocked and ready for you to cook your dinner. There is a small grill for your use as well.

Lingard Lodge

Lingard Lodge is a cozy 2-bedroom home with 4 beds upstairs and a double hide-a-bed in the sitting room. This two-story house is located in lower Moonridge a convenient mile from Bear Mountain Ski Resort and two miles from Snow Summit.

There is a wood-burning fireplace in the living room. There are two very comfortable chairs and a couch in the living room area. The TV/VCR is on a small table next to the fireplace. The dining area has a nice table and 4 chairs. The adjacent kitchen is a fully equipped with a stove, refrigerator, dishwasher and microwave oven. There is a full bath downstairs also.

Upstairs are two bedrooms and a bath. One bedroom has two twin beds and a double bed the other bedroom has a king and couch.

Perfect little get away spot for six folks! You will find a spacious A-frame cabin set amongst the pines. You will be able to cozy up after a busy day playing in Big Bear Valley in front of a wood burning stove. The owners have provided a telescope for your viewing of Big Bear’s clear night’s sky.

There is one bedroom with a double bed, a loft with a double bed and a sleeper sofa. There is one full bath and a very well appointed kitchen with a generous amount of cutlery, dishes, pots, pans, etc. There is a breakfast bar and a space saving pull out-table for dining. There are lawn chairs for your use on the deck in the back yard while you feed the birds and squirrels.

Your Home Away from Home

If you are looking for a place for an extended get away, where you will feel right at home, this is the Big Bear spot!

This house has lots of extras for your enjoyment. There is a wrap around porch with a seating area. Under the oak tree is a log swing. As you enter the home, you’ll leave your ski boots in the entry as the hosts have carpeted the main floor with extra thick padding for those tired ski feet.

There are 3 seating areas in the living room. There is the game-table area and the fireplace area. You will enjoy 4 rocking chairs and kids will enjoy the spacious TV area with lots of room to stretch out after a long day playing in Big Bear Lake.

The kitchen is decorated in blue and white. It is a feel good kitchen with a breakfast bar separating it from the dining area. There are two pine tables with benches and a highchair for your family’s convenience.

Up stairs you will find 4 bedrooms. The kids will like the bunkhouse with its 3 bunk bed sets. There are lockers for stowing their stuff. The master bedroom suite is relaxing. You will find a carved log headboard with bears on the posts. The owner has painted a beehive with two bees buzzing into the hive on the wall next to the bed.

There is a nice seating area with two rockers in front of the TV. You’ll enjoy the view of the mountains from this room. The third bedroom is called the Snow Princess. This fun room is clad all in red and white. The bed is shrouded in white mosquito netting. It is quite romantic. The fourth bedroom is the bear room. A cute bear is swinging over the bed. Bears are tucked into every corner. They are fun to look at but not to play with.
